In 2020 we made the best of what we had with a revised Taste and Shop Georgetown! The four-week free promotional event was inspired by the Taste of Georgetown, and ran October 5 – 31, 2020 – with take-out, delivery and outdoor dining specials at our restaurants and Streateries, paired with Fall shopping and service promotions, and **DISCOUNTED PARKING** as low as $5 per day!
*Historically, ticket sales from Taste of Georgetown benefited the Georgetown Ministry Center’s mission to support the homeless. Although 2020’s promotional event was free, we encouraged everyone to consider donating to Georgetown Ministry Center, as they seek lasting solutions to homelessness, one person at a time.
TASTE
Pizza, cupcakes, lobster – we’ve got a plate for every palate. More than 35 participating restaurants are offering special menus and promotions in the categories of Breakfast (& Brunch) Club, Happy Hour (sips, bites, and other things that make us happy), Family Matters (family-style meals), and Treat Yourself.
Breakfast (& Brunch) Club
Dog Tag Bakery – Free small drip coffee with breakfast sandwich purchase. Tu – Sun, 8am – 11am.
Georgetown Piano Bar – Free dessert with purchase of any entree from brunch menu. Sa – Su, 11am – 3pm; outside dining available.
Levain Bakery – Free drip coffee or tea of any size with purchase of a breakfast item (cake, scone, muffin, brioche, or sticky bun), daily, 8am – 11am. Excludes barista beverages, cold brew, or iced tea.
Happy Hour

Church Hall – New DC Distilled Mule cocktail featuring One Eight Distilling District Made Bourbon at Church Hall Biergarten located at 3223 Grace St NW (next to Chaia), or $10 liters of Church Hall IPA when you dine-in – plus free side of sweet or spicy fried chickpeas. Biergarten is open W – F, 4pm – 10 pm; Sa – Su, 12pm – 10 pm.
Dog Tag Bakery – Buy 1 dessert, get 1 half off. Weekdays, 2pm – closing.
Escape Room Live – Happy Hour all day, everyday. Free glass of wine or beer for each guest with an Escape Room reservation. Must mention Taste of Georgetown.
Georgetown Butcher – Buy 1 lb of frozen 100% grass-fed ground beef, get one free.
Good Stuff Eatery – Grab a Goodness Bag: Their handcrafted cheeseburger, snack fries and soda for $9.95, and Good Stuff will make a $.50 donation with every sale to Georgetown Ministry Center. Valid M – F.
Il Canale – 50% off drinks, beer, and wine by the glass, plus complimentary bruschetta. M – F, 3pm – 6pm only at bar area, outdoor Streatery, or rooftop.
Jaco Juice and Taco of Georgetown DC – Choose from two great, $4 Happy Hour items (or order both!), Tu – Sa, 11am – 7pm, and Su, 11am -5 pm. Pick from: Buffalo Rock Shrimp (Buffalo rock shrimp, shaved iceberg lettuce, with crema and cotija cheese), or Pupusa (Jumbo corn tortilla stuffed with pinto bean hummus, melted oaxaca cheese and side of curtido (pickled carrot, cabbage and jalapeno slaw)).
Kafe Leopold – Pick 3 drinks and 3 food items from the Happy Hour Menu, all for $25! This food and cocktail package is available daily, 12pm – closing, for to-go and curbside pick-up only.
