Michael Summey

As the BID’s Chief Financial Officer, Michael manages its business functions, with a focus on financial, as well as human resources and information technology operations. Summey comes to the BID from Bergen Street Consulting, a limited liability corporation that he established in 2014 and served as Principal. He has over 25 years of experience across the public and private sectors, serving as analyst, CFO, investment manager, controll and consultant. Michael earned both his BA in Public Policy Studies and his MBA in Finance from Duke Univserity. A DMV native who fondly remembers high school excursions to Georgetown, Michael now lives in Capitol Hill with this wife, three children and dog, Leo. He enjoys listening to music, and watching and discussing sports–particularly college basketball.

Favorite Georgetown Amenity: Working along the C&O Canal everyday, which he considers a privilege. ‘I’m grateful it was never allowed to be turned into a parkway!’
