Georgetown GLOW brightens the neighborhood for adults and children alike.

The shoe startup is the latest direct-to-consumer line to open a DC storefront.

The annual display of 11 site-specific light installations includes artists from around the globe and close to home — including one with a trio of live dancers from Dance Place.

Georgetown’s annual winter light show GLOW returns Dec. 6 through Jan. 5, with 11 commissioned works throughout Georgetown illuminated each night from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Local, regional, and international artists will show 11 commissioned light art works juxtaposed against the backdrop of Georgetown’s historic environs during the 6th edition of GLOW in Georgetown.

Georgetown GLOW – the region’s only outdoor, free light art exhibition – makes the Washington Post’s list of can’t-miss holiday events in the DC area.

Thirty-plus boutiques, restaurants, and businesses are busy prepping for shoppers and guests headed to Georgetown. Shoppers will receive a special bag when they make a purchase at any participating store; five of them have a golden ticket inside, which will be redeemable for $50 AMEX gift cards.
