The Georgetown BID’s current CEO & President, Joe Sternlieb, is stepping down in 2025 after 12 years in the role.

Additional Merriment in Georgetown holiday programming to include a Swedish holiday market and St. Lucia candlelit procession, Georgetown Cookie Tour, self-guided cocktail crawl, holiday gift guides and more.

Sternlieb joined the Georgetown BID in 2012.

The Georgetown BID and the Embassy of France-Villa Albertine are partnering to bring the global celebration of music to the Georgetown commercial district and La Maison Française.

The springtime open-air market will feature sidewalk sales from 40+ small businesses, food, strolling performers, and music.

Five works will be on display during the Georgetown BID’s free outdoor public light art experience; also to feature walking tours, a special shopping night, cocktail crawl and holiday night market, and more ‘Merriment in Georgetown’ programming.

The free, five-week seasonal celebration is back for its 9th edition, featuring public light art installations throughout the commercial district.
