Each May, area commuters celebrate bicycling as a clean, fun and healthy way to get to work during Commuter Connections and Washington Area Bicyclist Association’s Bike to Work Day. The Georgetown BID sponsors a “pit stop” in Georgetown Waterfront Park where commuters can enjoy refreshments and bicycle-themed giveaways. Join us May 17 from 7 am – 9 am! The first 16,000 who register and attend the event by bike will also receive a FREE T-shirt. Other freebies include:
- Georgetown Cupcakes
- Hot and cold coffee from Grace Street Coffee Roasters
- Unwind Wellness chair massages
- Trek Bicycle bike tune-ups
- Gold’s Gym recovery area, energy snacks, and the chance to win a one-year membership
- South Block wellness shots
- Coalition for Capital Crescent Trail bike bells
- Brompton Junction treats
- Swiss goodies and giveaways from the Embassy of Switzerland
- Bike-themed giveaways from Bellringer, in addition to info about their bike ride to end cancer
