Block Printed Accordion Fold Book with Anne Barnes

Saturday, March 16 and Sunday, March 17, 2024 from 11 am to 2 pm

In this two-part workshop we will use a simple block printing technique to create an organic floral pattern. Then using watercolor paint and other art mediums, learn to hand tint and add decorative detail to the visual narrative, which will then be made into a beautiful accordion fold artist’s book.

Length: 2-day workshop/3 hours each day. Skill level: All skill levels welcome. $120; 6 participants maximum

The following supplies will be provided and will be paid to teacher at the beginning of the class · *Fabriano, Artistico watercolor paper, cold press, traditional white, 140lbs/300gsm, 1 sheet per student.

· *Disposable paint palettes.

· Vintage wooden floral fabric stamps

· Collage material

· Brushes to apply matte medium for collage

· Water containers

· Newspaper to protect tables
