Combining Watercolor and Pastel with Julia Bezgacheva

Join us for a dynamic three-hour workshop exploring the creative fusion of watercolor and pastel! Discover different techniques to combine these versatile mediums, enhancing depth, texture, and contrast in your artwork. Throughout the session, you’ll experiment with still life and landscape compositions, exploring innovative ways to benefit from both the fluidity of watercolor and the vibrancy of pastel, and trying different brands of pastel and pastel paper. Participants are also encouraged to bring their previous watercolor paintings that could benefit from enhancing highlights, adding contrast, and incorporating expressive details.
