Georgetown Rare Book Fair
Search for literary treasures and browse rare books at our inaugural rare book fair in support of historic preservation. The Georgetown Rare Book Fair presented by the City Tavern Preservation Foundation will bring antiquarian booksellers from across the country to Washington DC’s City Tavern Club. Join us on Friday evening for wine, beer, special literary-themed cocktails, canapes, musical entertainment and first access to the books on sale in this historic venue dating back to 1796. Walk where Adams walked. Drink where Jefferson drank. Eat where Washington ate. Cocktail attire is requested. We request that guests do not eat or drink near the books.
On Saturday and Sunday come to browse, learn about book collecting, meet book dealers, and buy rare books. We will have an expert appraiser on hand to value any books that you bring. We look forward to welcoming you to the fair!
