Gallery Article 15 is thrilled to host Hero Women Rising’s inaugural Washington, DC event — Hidden No More: Shining a Light on DRC Women Through Art & Advocacy on Saturday, March 29, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the gallery.
This special evening will highlight the work of Hero Women Rising, an organization dedicated to improving the lives of women and adolescent girls in South Kivu, D.R. Congo, by supporting grassroots women’s initiatives. Guests will have the rare opportunity to meet Neema Namadamu, an internationally recognized activist, visionary leader, and founder of Hero Women Rising. The event will also feature an exclusive raffle, offering attendees the chance to own original Congolese art and textiles provided by Gallery Article 15. To complete the experience, Chez Kisa will curate a selection of authentic Congolese appetizers and beverages, bringing the flavors of the Congo to Washington, DC.
