Learn to Journal with a Purpose
Join us for an evening of discussion, reflection and guidance on this important topic at the City Tavern Club. The City Tavern Preservation Foundation invites you to meet Author Cynthia Catchings, LCSW-S, LCSW-C, CMHIMP, CFTP, EMDR, as she discusses her new book, 52-Week Mental Health Journal: Guided Prompts and Self-Reflection to Reduce Stress and Improve Wellbeing. Cynthia is the founder and executive director of the Women’s Emotional Wellness Center with offices in the DC metro area. Her book was written to help motivate people to get in touch with themselves, practice self-care, reduce stress, and improve wellbeing. This is especially important as we navigate through the worldwide coronavirus pandemic, spending long days at home, unable to socialize and gather as we used to, resulting in feelings of isolation and stress. Guided journaling is a simple but powerful tool. It can help you attend to your emotional needs, boost your mood, and set goals both big and small. With a focused prompt for every day of the year, the 52-Week Mental Health Journal helps you navigate four core pillars of good mental health―calm and resiliency, connection and engagement, goals and purpose, and healthy living―so you can thrive in every area of your life.
