#ReframeClimate Outdoor Photo Exhibit

March 16, 2022 - April 22, 2022 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM
Georgetown

In celebration of Earth Day, the Kennedy Center is hosting a global documentary photography exhibition plus events at the REACH, called “COAL + ICE,” to educate visitors about climate change through an arts and culture lens. For six weeks, there is also extended programming in all eight wards of DC. The Georgetown BID was selected to work with COAL + ICE’s art partners, Dysturb and Magnum Foundation, to display a public art photo campaign in the BID from March 15 – April 22. The campaign is called #ReframeClimate, and was originally exhibited during the 2015 Paris Climate Change Conference.

Visit the four Georgetown locations on the map below to view eight large-scale photographs – each with an interactive prompt, allowing the viewer to hear the story behind the image from their phone.

A huge thanks to our location sponsors, including The Georgetown House, MC Dean, Snyder Properties, and Jamestown, for helping us bring this exhibition to Georgetown!

House of Sweden’s Arctic Highways
House of Sweden is also partnering with the Kennedy Center to host the exhibition Artic Highways, March 5 – July 17, featuring artwork and duodji Sami handicrafts by 12 indigenous artists from Sápmi, Canada and Alaska.
