Candlelight Holiday Tours at Tudor Place

Kick off the holiday season by seeing the festive, olden times decorations and installations at Tudor Place (1644 31st St NW) tonight from 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm. Learn more about the Peter Family tradition of gift giving at the historic house and stroll through the garden, decked out with holiday lights. Tudor Lights is the holiday version of Tudor Nights; an opportunity to see rarely displayed objects and ephemera from the Tudor Place collection and archive. Afterward, enjoy cocktails and seasonal treats at the Dower House.

Candlelight tours are also available on Friday, December 8 at 6 pm and 7 pm, or Wednesday, December 13 at 7 pm. Learn how changes in society and retailing made selecting the perfect gift a major focus of the holiday, and view artifacts documented as Christmas gifts. Refreshments will be served.
