Do the Loop Art Event Returns this Weekend
Do The Loop is returning on Saturday, April 27 for a free day of indoor and outdoor art programming featuring Dumbarton Oaks, Jackson Art Center, Addison/Ripley Fine Art, Klagsbrun Studios, and Georgetown University Art Galleries, in addition to the American University Museum at the Katzen Art Center, and The Kreeger Museum. Stop by Dumbarton Oaks for a family activity in the gardens, where you’ll learn about the role edible plants play in our lives and ecosystems, and create your own work of art with paint made from fruits, vegetables, and spices. Later in the afternoon, they’re also hosting architecture, garden and museum tours – the latter where you can discover selected artworks from the museum collections. At Klagsbrun Studios, all three floors will be open, with wine and refreshments served in their back patio sculpture garden. Visit the studios, meet the artists, and purchase your favorite pieces. Jackson Art Center is also opening three floors of working art studios for browsing, buying and meeting the artists, and the Georgetown University Art Galleries are hosting an exhibition of artwork from this year’s graduating class of studio art majors.
