Georgetown Decks Pilot: More Space to Shop & Dine!

You said you needed space. Well, in the most literal sense – not the terrifying, relationship way that means you’re 100% about to break up. (Though good news – we’ve got extra space for you to do that, too!)

In April, we introduced a pilot program we were embarking upon to build 3,400 linear feet of sidewalk deck panels on M Street between 34th Street and 29th Street, and on Wisconsin Avenue between Q Street and the Canal. The Georgetown Decks installation is now complete, providing a more welcoming experience for outdoor dining, and creating more space for pedestrians to safely and comfortably walk through Georgetown – or sit and stay for awhile. The sidewalk extension will be in place through the rest of the year, so come experience it while you have the chance. And don’t worry – there’s still plenty of parking (over 3,800 spaces, to be exact) for as low as $10 all day!
