Georgetown Spring Bloom Tour this Weekend
Join us on Saturday, March 25 from 11 am – 12 pm for a free Georgetown Spring Bloom Tour, led by Georgetown BID Public Space Manager and Certified Arborist, Matt Millage. The horticultural history of Georgetown goes back hundreds of years, from its early days as a tobacco port to the creation of our nation’s third national park in 1890, protecting Rock Creek for future generations. Set in that context, you’ll visit three garden areas of Georgetown – from Francis Scott Key Park, to Georgetown Waterfront Park and the Old Stone House – and learn about the varied plants, trees, and flowers beginning to bloom. The tour requires just over one mile of walking, including small to moderate hills. Space is limited; reserve your spot now.
