New Restaurant, DIG, Opens in Georgetown
DIG, the chef-centric eatery that showcases the freshest vegetables of the season, is opening a Georgetown location on Sunday, April 30 at 1301 Wisconsin Ave NW. An expanded menu will feature housemade sandwiches, bowls (try the charred chicken with roasted sweet potatoes, charred broccoli with lemon, and brown rice with garlic aioli), fresh-baked focaccia, and kids’ options – plus pastry selections like cookies, flourless chocolate brownies and sticky carrot cake. The restaurant will also be one of the first to feature DIG Dinner Boxes, a customizable option for feeding the family for $40. For its grand opening, DIG is giving away free tote bags with Spindrift to the first 100 customers – one of whom will be randomly selected to win $500 in DIG credit. They’re also partnering with Van Leeuwen (opening soon in Georgetown!) to give the first 100 customers ice cream promo cards, and raffling free SoulCycle Georgetown classes. Proceeds from opening day walk-in sales will be donated to the Hoya Hub Food Pantry, located on Georgetown University’s campus.
