New September Art Shows in Georgetown

Join Calloway Fine Art & Consulting (1643 Wisconsin Ave NW) for the opening reception of “Tirthas – The Thin Places Where Earthly and Divine Meet” on September 9-10 from 5 pm – 7 pm. Dana Westring’s pieces reflect her interest in landscape design. She says she is drawn to contrast and texture – whether in the rocky coastal formations against the sea, or the softness of shoreline trees, grasses and shrubs.

In other art news, Washington Printmakers Gallery (1675 Wisconsin Ave NW) is hosting an opening reception and artist talk for “Leaf & luminosity – prints and photographs by Kate Lowman” (pictured above) on Sunday, September 8 from 2 pm – 4 pm.

Shop Made in DC (1304 Wisconsin Ave NW) is also hosting a Meet the Artist reception on Friday, September 6 from 5 pm – 8 pm for Jennifer Hudnell’s “Paper Odyssey” solo exhibit. Immerse yourself in more than 70 collages, including Jennifer’s new black and white series, and learn more about her art and creative process.
