New(ish) Garden Service & Business in Georgetown

With spring around the corner, we wanted to spotlight Casey & Company – a new(ish) service and retail store that quietly opened last May at 1052 Potomac St NW, near Blue Bottle. Founded in 2014 by a Georgetown resident and landscape professional, the woman-owned business provides sustainable and fine garden design, installation, detailing services, live plants and garden materials to help you create a sense of place. Check out the charming secret garden behind the shop, where you can buy native and non-native plants, plus garden furnishings, gifts, and accessories. According to The Georgetowner, the building was the home of Georgetown’s first mayor, so there are some interesting historic roots.
